The Winter Park at Civic Center is bound to be the best new holiday tradition in San Francisco!

Nestled among cultural institutions like the Supreme Court of California, Davies Symphony Hall, the Asian Art Museum and, of course, City Hall—The Winter Park is one of just a number of new community experiences being invested into and revitalizing San Francisco’s Civic Center.

This magical holiday experience will bring families from all over the Bay Area together in the heart of the city!

Family-Friendly Fun at The Winter Park

The family-friendly park is one of the latest ice rinks from live entertainment producer (and former Olympic skater), Willy Bietak, whose experiences are well-known and well-loved throughout the United States.

Modeled after the internationally-famed Wiener-Eistraum—an ice rink located in the City Hall Square of Vienna, Austria—the rink and 400 ft. track is built like an adventure park on ice!

Thanks to the support of sponsors such as Xfinity, Eventbrite and Cova Hotel, The Winter Park also includes a 400-foot track and other fun events like a holiday tree lighting ceremony and Learn to Curl, weekly curling lessons with instructors from the Granite Curling Club. You can even reserve the rink for a private event of your own!

Parking for The Winter Park is secure and easily accessible in the underground Civic Center Garage in downtown San Francisco. Parking costs range from $3-6 per hour, except on weekdays after 5:00 p.m. and all day on weekends when your first hour of parking is free with an ice rink admission purchase! The Winter Park is also just .2 miles on foot from the Civic Center/UN Plaza BART station.

Giving Back to the Bay Area Community

The Winter Park is getting into the holiday spirit by giving back to the community! In partnership with San Francisco Recreation & Parks Department and San Francisco Unified School District, Willy Bietak Productions has implemented a program benefiting the Tenderloin District’s public schools to ensure every child skates this holiday season. Each of the 3,000 students attending public school (K-12) in the district are invited to experience The Winter Park for free!

Additionally, Willy Bietak Productions is working with St. Anthony’s to benefit homeless and low-income neighbors. Learn more about how The Winter Park is giving back in the community in and around San Francisco and how you can help!
