THE WINTER PARK AT CIVIC CENTER ANNOUNCES INAUGURAL HOLIDAY EVENT LINEUP ALL NEW ICE EXPERIENCES INCLUDE iHEART WEDNESDAY DANCE PARTIES, LEARN TO CURL SESSIONS, AND FIRST RESPONDERS APPRECIATION DAYS

SAN FRANCISCO (October 4, 2018) —The Winter Park at Civic Center, an all-new ice experience steps away from San Francisco’s City Hall, announced today its inaugural series of festive events. The Winter Park will make its debut Friday, November 30, 2018 with an opening celebration from 11 a.m.–12 p.m. featuring entertainment on the ice, guest appearances from local dignitaries and notables, a DJ, family-friendly activities, and more. Additionally, The Winter Park will host iHeart Wednesdays, a themed dance party on the ice sponsored by iHeart Radio every Wednesday in December (December 5, 12, 19, and 26, 2018), Learn to Curl sessions every Sunday in December (December 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30, 2018) and First Responders Appreciation Days (December 3–4, 2018).
The Winter Park will be open daily from 12–10 p.m. through Sunday, January 6, 2019. Ticket prices for regular admission are $20 and $15 for children eight years old and under, with figure skate or hockey skate rental included in the cost of admission. Tickets can be purchased online in advance at winterparkicerinksf.com starting October 15, 2018. Tickets will also be available at the ice rink ticket window (355 McAllister St. in San Francisco). Group rates and corporate and private holiday parties are also available on The Winter Park at Civic Center website.
There are several initiatives to make this festive winter wonderland accessible to the entire Bay Area community. These include the Tenderloin Community Benefit Program, which will invite each child attending public school (grades K–12) in the Tenderloin district to experience The Winter Park free of charge, as well as several programs benefiting homeless and low-income neighbors.

The Winter Park at Civic Center will open with a special ceremony to celebrate its inaugural season of skating and holiday festivities in the heart of San Francisco. The ceremony will feature entertainment on the ice, guest appearances from local dignitaries and notables, a DJ, family-friendly activities sponsored by Xfinity, and more. Additional details will be announced at a later date.
Learn to Curl | December 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30, 2018| 10:30–11:30 a.m.
Instructors from the Granite Curling Club will offer curling lessons every Sunday at The Winter Park at Civic Center. Attendees will grab their brooms and learn the ins and outs of this fun winter sport that’s sweeping the nation. Lessons are rain or shine! Tickets are $20 and will be available on Eventbrite at a later date. Space is limited to 30 participants per session.
iHeart Wednesdays | December 5, 12, 19, and 26, 2018 | 6–10 p.m.
iHeart Radio is bringing a dance party to The Winter Park every Wednesday evening in December! With a different theme each week, attendees are invited to show off their moves on the ice. The theme schedule is as follows:

first responder, along with one guest, will receive free admission with proof of ID when presented at the ticket
window. Each additional guest will receive $1 off admission. Advance ticket purchases are not available on
Eventbrite; free admission and discounts are only available at the ticket window on day of the event.

With its debut planned for November 30, 2018, The Winter Park at Civic Center enters its inaugural year.
